LASD Lancaster Station: ATVs, motorcycles, construction equipment recovered in ongoing theft investigation

LASD Lancaster Station - Lancaster, California - December 18, 2013



Lancaster Deputies responded to 20th St West and Lancaster Blvd for a theft of heavy equipment.

A BOBCAT Loader Model 863 was reported stolen when construction workers noticed it missing early in the morning. The loader was equipped with a Lo-Jack tracking device and a short time later, detectives found the stolen BOBCAT at a residence located on the 44000 block of Date Ave.

The occupants of the home were contacted and detained for questioning.

Additional items were also discovered and confiscated during the execution of a search warrant. The confiscated items were several motorcycles and all-terrain vehicles not registered to the suspect, generators, and several serialized construction power tools. Nearly 100 items believed to have been stolen were confiscated.

Suspect Wayne Willis of Lancaster was arrested for Grand Theft and transported to the Lancaster Station Jail. He was booked and held on $35,000 bail. The investigation in still ongoing.
