LASD Lancaster Station: 6 arrested in westside WalMart shoplift sting

LASD Lancaster Station - Lancaster, California - December 8, 2013

On Thursday December 5th, the Lancaster Station TOP/CORE Team conducted an Anti-Theft Sting in the West Lancaster Wal-Mart.

With the cooperation of the store management and Asset Protection, deputies were successful in arresting six individuals for Commercial Burglary.

Three suspects were female, two suspects were male and one subject was a male juvenile.

Approximately $1500 in stolen merchandise was recovered which included cosmetics, clothing, electronics and DVD movies. They are all taken to Lancaster Station for booking for Commercial Burglary and one was additionally charged with Possession of an Illegal Substance.

The TOP/CORE Team has routinely conducted Anti-Theft Stings to help mitigate theft from local businesses. Future operations are pending at various businesses in the City of Lancaster without advance notice.
